RISD maintains four primary constituent-based email listservs: faculty, staff, undergraduate students and graduate students*. Below you’ll find outlined the purpose of these listservs and guidelines for their use and administration. If you have any questions, please contact [email protected].

*(RISD’s previous all-student listserv is being replaced by two: one for undergraduate students and one for graduate students.)

Purposes

The purposes of RISD’s four primary constituent-based email listservs (faculty, staff, undergraduate students and graduate students) are to:

  1. Provide an avenue for RISD’s president and cabinet to communicate about institutional priorities and issues of significance to our campus community.
  2. Communicate information and resources that are critical to enabling all members of a listserv to live, learn and/or work at RISD.
  3. Create awareness about events and opportunities available to all members of a listserv.

For our listservs to achieve their purpose, recipients must choose to read the emails they receive. Therefore, emails should be relevant and engaging, and listservs should be used as sparingly as possible.
