News and events channels

The primary channels RISD uses to share timely news, events and updates are as follows:

• involved.risd.edu, RISD’s central events calendar and student engagement platform
• the MyRISD app, available for download via the Apple App Store and Google Play

Hosting an event?

If it’s an event, workshop or other programming open to the RISD community and/or the broader public, post it on involved.risd.edu. All departments and divisions have a designated person with permissions to add events to the calendar. If you’re not sure who to ask, please email [email protected] for help.

The events listed on Involved are also pushed to the risd.edu site and are a key source of content for social media and other communication channels.

If you plan to photograph, record and/or livestream your live event, please print and post the following publicly:

Events or occurrences in this area may be photographed or filmed by individuals commissioned by RISD. The imagery may be made publicly available and may be featured on risd.edu or RISD social media for commemorative purposes.

The photography may also be published, transmitted or broadcast for other institutional marketing purposes, such as in official RISD publications or publicity materials.
